My Story

After nearly 12 years in the U.S. Air Force as a medic and 5 years in operations management, I transitioned into UX design to combine systems thinking, problem-solving, and user-centered design.

My background taught me how to communicate clearly, improve complex processes, and make decisions under stress. I bring that same mindset into UX, creating research-driven solutions that balance actual user needs with business goals.

My Process

I approach each project using the Double Diamond design process, combining research-driven thinking with iterative design focused on usability and measurable outcomes. My process begins by identifying friction points through heuristic evaluations, usability testing, SUS/SUPR-Q surveys, stakeholder discussions, and user research to better understand both user needs and business goals.

Using both primary and secondary research, I guide design decisions through competitive analysis, low-fidelity wireframes, concept exploration, usability testing, and iterative refinement.

My goal is to create intuitive, validated experiences that reduce friction, improve usability, and deliver measurable results through ongoing feedback, analytics, and KPI evaluation.

Most Recent Work

This Robinhood case study was developed during a 10-week UX bootcamp where I analyzed inconsistencies across the trading experience that could create confusion for beginner investors. The redesign focused on improving usability, interaction clarity, and decision confidence within high-risk financial workflows while exploring AI-assisted features to support investor understanding.
